Interactive Data Structure Visualizations
Duane J. Jarc, University of Maryland

To begin the interactive data structure visualizations, select one of the lessons from the menu at the left of the screen. There are several groups of visualizations including binary trees, directed graphs, and sorting. Each contains a variety of data structure topics. Use the Progress link in the menu on the left to see which of the eleven lessons you have successfully completed.

Once you have read the explanatory text related to that topic, scroll down until the Start Exercise button appears. Clicking this button will cause the exercise window to open. The first time you run these exercises it may take a while for this button to appear, especially if you have a modem connection.

If this is your first time using these exercises, click the Help button in the upper-right corner of the exercise window. With the help facility turned-on, an explanation of each of the buttons will be provided as you move the mouse over them.
